Outreach Ministries Turkey Day Race Food Drive In 2018 St. Mary's and St. Augustine's partnered with the Baldwinsville Kiwanis Turkey Day Race to hold a huge food drive for the first time! After seeing the success of the food drive, we made it our mission to continue to help those in the Baldwinsville community with this food drive every year! St. Elizabeth Ann Seton joined the cause in 2019. This year, the need is even greater within our community, so together with our sponsor partners of St. Augustine's, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, and the Baldwinsville Kiwanis, we are proud to announce the seventh annual Turkey Day Race Food Drive! The food collected during this drive is distributed to a variety of local charities including: The Baldwinsville Food Pantry The Backpack Program, for which a special emphasis is placed on food that is healthy and easily prepared for/by children who are in need. How You Can Help Fill a bag with groceries and return it to one of the food drop locations, during the dates/times listed below. The suggested child food list and family food list are also below. Sponsor individuals to run/walk the VIRTUAL race. Money raised by the Kiwanis goes towards improving the lives of children and families in Baldwinsville and CNY. For more information on the Baldwinsville Kiwanis, visit their website here . Download the Food Lists Click here to download the food lists. Food Drop Off Locations, Dates & Times Donation items from the Family Food List and the Child Food List can be dropped off on the following dates at these locations, now through Thanksgiving Day: Interested in Volunteering? We are always appreciative of volunteers who help us collect and sort food. You can sign up to volunteer by clicking here . Thank You for Your Support! No matter how you support this worthy cause, please know that the parishes of St. Mary's, St. Augustine's, and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, together with our friends at the Baldwinsville Kiwanis, truly appreciate your kindness and generosity, and we thank you! We wish you and yours many blessings throughout the holiday season and year round!

Governing Bodies St. Mary's has three consultative bodies that serve to advise the pastor about pastoral issues. Their main purposes are to investigate, reflect, and research conclusions about pastoral matters to recommend to the pastor as appropriate. Members of these committees/councils are appointed by the pastor. Pastoral Council The purpose of the Pastoral Council is to identify the spiritual and temporal needs of the parish community and to encourage members of the parish community to participate in the life of the parish. As a council, the members are responsible for the needs of the Universal Church as well as those of the parish. The members, in consultation with the pastor, staff, and ministerial committees, discuss, research, and through consensus, recommend the direction which the parish should take in matters of the church. The membership consists of both, selected and non-selected members. All members are involved with parish activities and make a commitment to offering a talent or skill to council ministry. Selected members of the Pastoral Council must be confirmed, registered Catholic members of the parish, in good standing. Each member shall serve a three (3) year term. CURRENT PASTORAL COUNCIL MEMBERS (until March 2, 2026) Officers: Mark Rossler, Chair Sharon Stack, Vice-Chair Katy Rossler, Secretary Selected Members: Aaron Gloo Kevin Newman Bill McManus Donna Newman Elsie Petersen Marilyn Powell Appointed Member: Sr. Marcia Barry Ex Officio Members: Bishop Douglas Lucia, Pastor Fr. Ben Schrantz, Vicar Deacon Joseph Casper Renée Romance, Trustee Dr. John O'Brien, Trustee Amy Casper, Finance Committee Chair If you're interested in serving on the 2025 Pastoral Council, please click here for more details . Finance Committee The Finance Committee serves the pastor in an advisory capacity for all financial matters pertaining to the parish. These include: preparation and review of annual operating budgets, short and long-term business plans, capital expenditures, and investment programs and policies. Members of this committee are appointed by the pastor. Appointed members should have background/experience in finance and/or business. Ideally, one member should have a legal background. Liturgy Committee Mass doesn't just happen - it takes planning. The Liturgy Committee plans and coordinates our liturgies throughout the year. The Liturgy Committee is comprised of the pastor, representatives from each liturgical ministry, the director of music ministry, a staff representative, and representatives from certain support ministries. Members of this committee are appointed by the pastor.

Sacraments Baptism Congratulations on the birth of your child! We are honored that you have chosen St. Mary's for this important sacrament in your child's life. Before celebrating your child’s baptism, there are a few items that will need your attention. Please contact the Parish Office to select a date and time for your child's baptism. If you have not yet registered with the parish, please do so. Church law allows a pastor to baptize only those who are registered parishioners of a parish. If you are returning to St. Mary’s to celebrate with family here, we will need a letter from your pastor giving permission for your child to be baptized at St. Mary’s. It is a requirement that you attend a Pre-Baptism Class here or at your parish. Again, a certificate of attendance is needed if you attend the class elsewhere. Baptism classes are offered on the first Monday of each month at 7:00pm. To register for a Pre-Baptism Class here at St. Mary's, please contact the Parish Office at 315-635-5762. It is customary that the child have a godfather and a godmother. At least one of these individuals must be a fully initiated (confirmed), practicing Catholic. They will need to supply a Certificate of Sponsorship from their pastor before the celebration of the baptism. Learn more about the Sacrament of Baptism by watching Reborn on FORMED. For information on non-infant baptisms, please refer to our RCIA page for adults and children.

Parish Registration We are so happy to have you join our Parish Family!! We have a wonderful Ministry Team here at St. Mary's who are happy to help you at any time. Feel free to contact the Parish Office with any questions at 315-635-5762.
