Faith Formation

The Faith Formation program at St. Mary of the Assumption is a fun, family oriented faith formation program. Our program is interactive and educational, teaching the basics of Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition, while incorporating current events, all while having fun while learning. We instill in the children a love of our Lord and a love for our Holy Catholic Church, both at a parish level and at a universal level. We stress kindness, compassion and service to others, living in the image of God, as we are called to do. We have classes from First Grade to Confirmation.

For more information or to join our wonderful program,

please contact Catherine Mackey, Director of Faith Formation, at 635-5762 ext. 110.

Prerequisites for this program are:

  • A registered member of St. Mary’s Parish

  • Proof of Baptism. If not baptized here at St. Mary’s Parish, a copy of the Baptism Certificate is required.

  • The child must have successfully completed a year of Faith Formation classes prior to registering for the sacraments.

  • Students need to attend scheduled Faith Formation classes during the year. Those attending St. Mary’s Academy or another Catholic school receive their Faith Formation in school so they do not need to register for our classes, but do need to register for the sacramental program (First Eucharist & Reconciliation Workshops, Confirmation Years 1 & 2).
